5 Reasons Why I Love Singapore

Singapore (2019)

Singapore (2019)

1) It’s very clean

It’s no rumor that Singapore is one of the cleanest countries in the world; it’s a fact. The train stations were clean, the trains were clean, the streets were clean, and anywhere else I went was clean as well. The hostel I stayed at was pretty clean as well. Cleanliness is definitely a way of life here.

2) Organized Public Transportation

I found it very easy to get around Singapore on their public transport. An easy entry on Google maps can quickly get you on your way in the direction you need to be. I will mention that it is a lot quicker to take an Uber but if you want to save some coins then public transit is the way to go.

3) Great free activity options

Gardens by the Bay (the free part), Merlion, and Marina Bay Sands are all great attractions that you visit in Singapore for Free. They are all pretty much situated in the same area so you can see them all in one day. Chinatown is also an interesting area where you can buy souvenirs for cheap. I spent a weekend in Singapore and spent a lot less money than I thought I would.

4) English is widely spoken

It’s such a relief when you visit a country and they actually speak English. Well, I’m here to tell you that Singapore is one of those places. Signs are in English and the Menus are in English. Just remember that the dollar sign means Singaporean Dollars not American Dollars.

5) Stunning technology and architecture

I saw some really cool things in Singapore.  I honestly can’t even explain to you what I saw but I can tell you where to go so you can experience it for yourself. Visit the Marina Bay Sands Mall and after you are done go to the ArtScience Museum. It’s that really odd shaped building next to the Marina Bay Sands Mall. I went to an exhibit collaboration with teamLab called Future World. There were some very cool technologically advanced interactive activities to indulge in. It’s definitely worth a visit.
